Chaired by President Monaco, DILC guides the university’s strategy and policies to advance diversity and inclusion among the student body, faculty, and staff to make the university more inclusive and welcoming to all.
Established in 2019, the Tufts University Cabinet on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (TUCDEI) was formed to bring together representatives from all of our schools to inform, advise, and support diversity and inclusion initiatives at Tufts.
Members of the cabinet were appointed by their respective dean and hold the position of Assistant or Associate Dean for Diversity and Inclusion (ADDI) within their school. Other members include the Associate Directors for Diversity and Inclusion Education. The cabinet reports to the Provost.
The Joint Council on Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (JCEDI) focuses on promoting cross-campus collaborative efforts to advance equity, diversity, and inclusion across the health sciences campuses in Boston and Grafton. The Council works collaboratively to identify joint strategies to achieve Tufts University’s equity, diversity and inclusion goals. In addition, the Council encourages school leadership to develop individualized interventions tailored to the mission and goals of each school.
