Program Director for Assessment and Impact

Dr. Tiffany House is the Program Director for Assessment and Impact. Dr. House leads the assessment and evaluation of Tufts’ inclusive excellence strategy, using evidence to measure implementation, outcomes, and impact and guide continuous improvement. She also supports the university’s understanding of campus culture and climate through the analysis and application of institutional climate, learning, and engagement data. She also directs the university-wide consultation and intake process through which community members seek guidance, support, and partnership. In addition, she designs and oversees the department’s learning resources, including asynchronous modules, toolkits, and guidance documents that make research and evidence-based inclusive practices accessible across campus.

Dr. House joined the university in 2021 as an Associate Director, where she led workshops, trainings, and dialogue programs that reached more than 500 faculty, staff, and students, and chaired the university-wide committee that developed Tufts’ first-ever campus climate survey. She then served as Senior Associate Director for Inclusive Faculty Engagement, leading programs on teaching, mentorship, and inclusive practices that reached over 1,000 faculty, staff, and students, including the flagship ELEVATORs program, the Mentor Space program for faculty and postdocs, and faculty communities of practice.

Before Tufts, Dr. House served as Assistant Director for the Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program (CSTEP) at Fordham University, where she led a program serving 270 students, supervised a team of counselors and tutors, built partnerships with institutions including Weill Cornell Medical College, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and the SUNY College of Optometry, and co-authored grants totaling $4.3 million. She has also served as Interim Options Through Education Program Director at Boston College’s Thea Bowman AHANA and Intercultural Center, a College and Career Coaching Instructor for College Bound, and a Visiting Lecturer in the Tufts Experimental College, where she taught a course on living with purpose.

Dr. House has presented at the American Educational Research Association Annual Meeting and serves as an ad hoc reviewer for The Journal of Experimental Education. Her training includes certifications in coaching, restorative practices, dialogic facilitation, and mentoring, all of which inform her evidence-based approach to her work.

Dr. House earned her Ph.D. in Contemporary Learning and Interdisciplinary Research from Fordham University and both her M.A. in Higher Education and B.A. in Economics from Boston College. Her research focuses on educational access and fostering inclusive learning environments.
