[For Faculty]

The IIE Faculty Writing Retreat is a three-day overnight retreat experience that provides faculty with a focused and tranquil place to write. The goals are to:

  • provide a space to support faculty with their writing obligations;
  • create opportunities for cross-school collaboration and networking with scholars dedicated to inclusive excellence; and,
  • develop IIE’s network of scholar partnerships.

This year’s Faculty Writing Retreat will take place at the Connors Retreat Center in Dover, MA. The program will begin on March 16 at 9:00 a.m. and end on March 18 at 3:30 p.m.

All Tufts faculty are invited to apply by January 30, 2026. We encourage you to apply as soon as possible, as spaces are limited.

Testimonials from the 2025 Cohort

“This is a unique and invaluable experience that I think needs to be available again for scholars in the academy. Being around ambitious, accomplished, and beginning faculty in various disciplines is rare. The ability to rest, write, and unwind with colleagues across various walks of life is amazing. I am so happy I attended, I got a lot of work done, maximized my time during break, and felt accomplished.”
