Tiffany B. House, Ph.D.
Senior Associate Director for Inclusive Faculty Engagement
Dr. Tiffany House (she/her) is the Senior Associate Director for Inclusive Faculty Engagement. Dr. House is responsible for advancing strategic priorities toward inclusive faculty excellence with a focus on mentorship, cultivating an inclusive collegial community, creating opportunities for learning and development and restorative dialogues, promoting equity-minded practices, and engaging in strategic partnerships. Dr. House has received specialized training in developing faculty mentoring programs, restorative practices, inclusive leadership, and dialogic practices in the classroom, which contributes to her evidence-based approach to her work at Tufts. Dr. House has nurtured numerous partnerships across the university and serves as a Center for the Enhancement of Learning and Teaching affiliate and core team member for the Connecting the Community of Tufts Scholars (CCTS) initiative.
Prior to Tufts, Dr. House served as the Assistant Director for the Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program (CSTEP) at Fordham University. CSTEP is a statewide pipeline initiative designed to prepare racially underrepresented and economically disadvantaged students for careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields, health professions, and other licensed fields. Dr. House’s responsibilities included planning, designing, and implementing all aspects of the program and offering supervision on student mentoring and advising best practices to six staff members. Dr. House developed close partnerships across campus departments as well as external partners, such as Weill Cornel Medical College, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and the SUNY School of Optometry. Additionally, she successfully co-authored and secured grants for CSTEP and STEP (the program for middle-school and high-school-aged students), totaling $4.3 million.
In addition, Dr. House’s previous roles include Interim Options Through Education Program Director at Boston College’s Thea Bowman AHANA and Intercultural Center, Doctoral Intern for Fordham University’s Chief Diversity Officer, College and Career Coaching Instructor for College Bound, and Tufts Experimental College Visiting Lecturer. In these roles, Dr. House engaged her deep passion for being an educator and administrator—a balance she has loved to hold throughout her progressive career in higher education.
Education
Dr. House earned her Ph.D. in Contemporary Learning and Interdisciplinary Research from Fordham University and her M.A. in Higher Education and B.A. in Economics from Boston College. Dr. House’s research focuses on educational access and nurturing an equitable and inclusive learning environment.
