Associate Director, Diversity & Inclusion Education- Medford/SMFA Campuses

Sara (she/her/ella) is a first-generation Chicana college graduate and current doctoral candidate who is committed to anti-racist practices and systemic equity. Passionate about people- and social-justice centered education policy, Sara is a strong advocate for honoring learner variability and advocating for the multidimensional identities and lived experiences of individuals and communities.

Sara’s role includes but is not limited to, preparation centered around unconscious/implicit bias, anti-racism, restorative justice, Whiteness, anti-Blackness, and others. Sara will also be responsible for managing pipeline programs and supporting other functions and programs as needed by the Associate Provost and Chief Diversity Officer.

Sara is a proud dog mom to a Yorkshire Terrier (Yorkie) named Jude.  (Yes, her yorkie is named after the song, “Hey Jude” by The Beatles.)
